Nocturnal Safaris
Step into the forest after dark, when Ngaga reveals an entirely different rhythm. On foot, listen for the hum of insects, the call of night birds, and the soft movement of life hidden in the undergrowth. By vehicle, follow the sweep of your guide’s torch as it searches the treetops for the reflection of shining eyes. In the darkness, the rainforest becomes even more vivid — alive with sound, shadow, and movement.
The Nocturnal Canopy Walk invites guests to experience the rainforest from an elevated perspective. Guided quietly through the middle canopy, guests listen for the calls, rustles, and movement of the forest after dark, with the chance to observe nocturnal species such as galagos, palm civets, tree frogs, insects, and other elusive life that emerges once night falls.
Your guide will help determine whether your nocturnal explorations will be more fruitful as a drive or walk. No equipment is needed — just a keen eye and an openness to the possibilities that night brings.
